OUR REPAIR PROCESS

PROPER CLOCK CARE

Like any finely crafted valuable, your clock needs to be taken care of to guarantee years of beauty and function. Metal parts wear down over time, so they need to be kept lubricated to insure long life. It is recommended that your clock movement be oiled every two years from the date of purchase and thoroughly cleaned every 5 to 10 years depending on climatic conditions.

Avoid exposing the clock to direct sunlight and protect it from extreme temperatures and humidity changes. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may fade the finish, and extreme temperature and humidity changes may cause the wood to split or crack. If you think it might be time to service your clock, contact us and we’ll be happy to talk to you about keeping your heirloom in excellent condition.

IMPORTANT!

ALWAYS REMOVE PENDULUM AND WEIGHTS BEFORE MOVING OR TRANSPORTING YOUR CLOCK. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN MAJOR DAMAGE, LIKE A BROKEN SUSPENSION SPRING, OR CAUSE THE CLOCK TO BE KNOCKED OUT OF BEAT.
