We are family owned and we’ve been repairing clocks for over 12 years. In 2008, Cleveland Clock Repair started out in Florida under the name “Michael’s In-Home Clock Repair”. After relocating from Florida to Ohio, we decided to re-brand and re-imagine our business. Cleveland Clock Repair was born, and we are beyond excited to be here serving the greater Cleveland area. Let's get those clocks ticking!
Thank you to Boggs Jewelers (FL) 2007-2016 and Suburban Clock (OH) 2016-2019 for being a part of my apprenticeship and employment through the first years.
A huge thank you to my instructor David J. LaBounty, CMC, FBHI. He is one of the most capable professionals in the world at restoring antique clocks. More about Mr. LaBounty here.
Our business specialized in attention to detail. We take an antique, vintage, or modern from a state of disrepair to a state of WOW!
Though we specialize in antique clocks, we are not limited to antiques. We've been repairing all types of mechanical clocks since 2008.
OUR GOAL:
Our goal is to educate our clients on proper clock care, and use
that knowledge to avoid getting taken advantage of when having your
clock repaired or serviced.
Yes, all mechanical clocks require regular maintenance biannually. (That's every 2 years.)
Just a few ways to see if your clock needs attention by way of
repair:
1. If your clock (when regulated) won’t keep good time, or
2. Chime issues arise in the form of:
a. slowing, b. stopping or c. continually chiming.
4. If you have wound your clock yet, the clock doesn’t keep running,
or “ticking” is not audible.
The price is $120 for a standard cleaning, oil and adjustments. however the prices may vary depending on mileage/travel/parts.
Nine times out of ten in the case of no parts, we can successfully fabricate parts from scratch. This is not always an option for some rare clocks. We approach all issues with the utmost care and a keen eye for detail.
